facepic (2)Hello, I am Lee-Ann Bedford (you can call me Lee) and this is my BLOG.

I am a marketing professional, with a wealth of knowledge and experience from over 20 years marketing experience across many sectors. I work as a Content and Social Media Manager for a financial services company in London.

I am a positive, proactive person who never gives up on dreams or stops trying to improve my knowledge. I have taken a ‘life is too short’ philosophy after losing my mother within weeks to a rare brain disease and believe things happen for a reason.

My BLOG is about making a difference by helping people in the way that I can: through knowledge. The Theme is based on the ripple effect of dropping a pebble in water. Aqua Pebble Blog is an opinion blog on focusing on social media and sharing some of my knowledge and learnings with others, but occasionally touches on other topics that I find myself questioning or thinking about or interesting information I come across.

I have a passion for helping other people grow and develop to their full potential. I also have a huge personal interest in developmental and behavioural psychology and helping learning disabled children reach their potential by developing under developed areas of the brain. I have seen fantastic results in this field.

Furthermore, I believe in looking after the environment. I want my children and their children and… to experience the beauty our world has to offer. I love the feeling of being one-with-nature and feel recharged when walking through woodlands and forests. I also find Waterfalls quench my thirst for tranquillity.

I started writing my first novel, but while I develop my business it is on hold. It is a science-fantasy genre novel (a genre I love reading). My husband and I have created a world with cultures, political and social structures and he has drawn some great maps for me. Writing a novel is more challenging than I ever expected, but great fun. I love the creative side of developing the story but sometimes I get stuck trying to find ‘the word’ that says what I want to say. I bought a big fat dictionary and thesaurus to help – and that they do.

I also love taking a walk to exercise the stiff limbs (sitting all day is not good), reading a good book or watching an exciting movie. Occasionally I like to experiment with my culinary skills otherwise, a good healthy home cooked meal is the order of the day.

I am committed to making a difference to those I works with and providing a high quality experience and out come.

I hope you enjoy your time on my BLOG and will contribute to making it a success. I would be thrilled if you posted some comments on my posts. If you are on LinkedIn why not add me as a contact. Thank-you for visiting Aqua Pebble.
