Aqua Pebble

miracle2The question is ‘Is there a miracle cream for blogging’ (or in life)? Now that I am immersed in the world of blogging and regularly am looking for that special bit of advice that can help me improve my blog I have come across some really good sites and blogs, but have also come across many sites offering all sorts of courses, eBooks, books, webinars, subscriptions and more all for a price.

Some of these sites have copy that is so tempting and leaves you wondering whether you have missed out on getting your miracle cream by not buying or subscribing. They do their job well.

Then there is the must have training needed to have a successful blog. If I subscribed to everything I am tempted to and went on all the training it would cost me a lot. But, would I reap the rewards after implementing what I have learnt? The obvious answer may be that I need to be selective in what I subscribe to or training I take. My problem is that there is so much information for free that I wonder whether any of these truly provide that miracle cream that free advice is not telling me.

Personally I doubt they do, but think they may fast track what you know and that is probably their benefit. I however, am an explorer of knowledge and love seeking out the information for free that some sites clearly store behind the login in box or the buy me button. I feel such satisfaction at discovering the answers myself, but don’t always have the time.

I also believe that blogging is not a miracle cream to success but with hard work can certainly lead there.

What I would like to know is if anyone has bought a product or training or has a paid subscription and what has been your experience? Have you also come across some good free resources?

I came across this cartoon that made me giggle.

I will write another post about what I find out next week.

I agree in that success will always be tied to a desire and passion to learn more, to research, to dig deep in understanding your market, industry, clients. The more you learn and uncover in your journey, the more you realize that there is so much more, so many layers that will take you places that you never dreamed of.

Our first instinct is to dive in and sign up for every webinar, newsletter, blog or seminar that can potentially propel us to the next level, however, be careful not to lose site of the goal. Time is one of your biggest assets and can get lost in your search for answers.

I have found that you have to be selective and find that balance between your thirst for knowledge and execution. What you find in the end is that the knowledge obtained rounds out the rough edges of what you hope to achieve, but the essence and core of your deliverable is who you are and the value you bring to your profession.

Keep your eye on the ball and do great things!
