I was read­ing an arti­cle on Brand Republic’s Mar­ket­ing called ‘Brands face trust cri­sis’ I won­dered whether I have ever trusted a brand. What does this really mean?

I asked the Inno­v­a­tive Mar­ket­ing, PR, Sales, Word-of-Mouth & Buzz Inno­va­tors LinkedIn group a ques­tion and received a single-worded, thought pro­vok­ing response that inspired me to write this article.

I put this ques­tion to a num­ber of my LinkedIn groups. The two top answers were:
