I put this question to a number of my LinkedIn groups. The three top answers were:
1. Mobile Marketing.
I was surprised that this came up as a next Best thing as often as it did, as I have used this form of marketing for a couple of years. Perhaps it has advanced from the You-tube style advert that is sent to a mobile to a more interactive type of marketing. I will certainly be investigating this a bit more.
2. Social Media
As with my Google search, this came up as a top answer. There were suggestions that how we are using it is just the tip of the iceberg… and that is probably true. I came across the following presentation posted in two of my groups, which explains why this probably is so. It is a fun, funky presentation.
3. Honest Relationships
This was put in a number of ways from genuine permission marketing, to caring to great customer service. From the tone of those answers I have summed them up in these two words.
